Jessica Larson
RN & Practice Coordinator
I am honored and excited to be a part of the team at IT&W as the Practice Coordinator. I am also looking forward to being able to grow into additional roles within our practice to help serve our community. I have almost 20 years of medical experience as a Nurse and 8 years as a Health and Wellness Coach. I have always been passionate about health and wellness and in the past several years I have been eager to learn more of a Holistic approach to helping better serve myself and my clients. Health and Wellness is a top priority and after talking with Erin Lindberg about our beliefs and approach to Health and Wellness I knew this was going to be a good fit. If you have ever spoken with Erin, you will feel her passion for helping others. I have always had a passion for helping and caring for others, it's one of my strengths as well. It is what drove me into the healthcare field years ago. I look forward to growing, learning and serving our community as a team.
I was born and raised in Alaska but recently moved to Detroit Lakes MN. I love all things outdoors, especially fishing, camping and hanging with friends and family. I am happily married to my Husband of 15 years, and we have 2 kids that love all sports so you will probably see me in the community between the courts, rinks and ball fields. I am excited to work side by side with the staff and clients.
"When our daughter was diagnosed with a 28° curvature in her spine they gave us two equally unattractive options to treat her scoliosis. One was to brace her for 18 to 20 hours a day. The other was to wait until the curve reached 45°, which it almost certainly would, and then subject her to major spinal surgery. We decided that those two options weren’t good enough and started doing research. I was discussing those options with Erin one day while she treated me for a hip problem. She explain to me how bones can be moved, but without addressing the issue of the underlying fascia the movement would be temporary. We opted to have our daughter practice Schroth exercises, be fitted for a nighttime brace, and go to Erin for MFR treatment....you can see the results for yourself (pictures to the right). She went from a 28° curve to no curve at all in less than a year. It is our firm belief that without the MFR, the Schroth Therapy and the bracing would have failed. I thank God for Erin every day."
